Wydaho Snow: 11.16.15: Togwotee Pass, Two Oceans

Today WD, RT, and I headed to Togwotee Pass with no expectations, but scored good snow despite thin coverage on Two Oceans.  It is still very boney on the upper slopes where wind has stripped snow off of steeper, rockier terrain. Deadfall is still an issue down low but it is manageable.

There are quite a few ski and snowmobile tracks in the area but we were able to find a few fresh pitches. It snowed intermittently but no notable accumulations while we were there. It was a little crusty on the South facing aspects down by the parking pullout and where multiple tracks overlapped but good everywhere else.

The Tetons looked about as pretty as I have ever seen them on the drive back with blue skies over snowy peaks flowing in and out of the clouds. It looked like the Teton Pass area was getting snow but it will need a lot to get good again. Have fun out there.
